How To Install A Bay Window

How would you like to save roughly 30% of what you would have to pay by installing the window yourself? If you want to save money and have a little bit of satisfaction in regards to your home then what you need to do is install the bay window in your home on your own. When I say on your own I don’t literally mean on your own, I just mean without hiring a glass company to come out and install the window for you.

The first thing you need to do in order to install a bay window is to get the old one out and then prep the frame. The reason why you should prep the frame now is because some bay windows are rather large and you don’t’ want to do a bunch of work just getting the bay window in the correct position just to find out that there are things in the way or you missed a step. Do yourself a favor and make sure that the frame is clean and cleared so that you can simply pop the new bay window into place.

When installing a bay window you need to make sure you have a few people helping you depending on the size of the unit. The reason why you might need 3 people is so that 2 can be outside holding the window while the other person is inside getting you nails, calking, or whatever else you might need. The thing about installing a new window in your home properly and in a decent amount of time is that you all need to be on the same page and have some idea of what the others are supposed to be doing.

Just remember that bay windows are really expensive for two reasons; the first reason because they are bigger and require more material to make, and the second reason is because bay windows normally require some help in order to get them installed the right way. Remember this because this is what a lot of people forget and when they forget this they normally lose sight of why they were wanting a bay window in the first place.
