Roof and framing Finished (10-04-2011)

The crew turned up about lunchtime today (Sunday), just to finish off a few minor things – They were delayed a little by the existing roofing tiles we had on site – most were reused tiles that we removed from existing roofs – they looked the same from a distance, but there were 3 distinct types of tiles used and one of these type of tiles had 4 minor variations within the type, with measurements varying up to 6 mm (1/4”).

The gable end (South) – the External OSB still has to fitted, as does the window (about 4 hours work), but we could not complete this today, as they were finishing inside and they needed access via the gable end.

The chimney stack (outside) has been removed and retiled – I still have to get a double ended cap tile tomorrow to finish the roof

Tomorrow, I have to start the rendering of the North wall in orderer to level the wall for the fitting of the new zinc guttering, which should be fitted on Wednesday or Thursday this week.
